Established in 2003 by founder, Manuel Savic, the first Butcher Block Steakhouse opened its doors in South Africa’s coastal town, Durban. Starting with a passion for quality cuts of meat and the realisation that there was a gap in the market for a good steakhouse, Manuel has built a highly acclaimed brand.
Now, he has his sights set on bringing the best steaks in town to the rest of the world with a series of international locations. Each location will have a carefully crafted menu that balances the brand’s South African authenticity with the area’s local flavours.
In every Butcher Block Steakhouse, we’ve sourced our meat from well-respected and trusted suppliers. It’s important to us that we partner with suppliers who rear their calves themselves with a focus on feeding supplemental diets rich with beneficial, immune building nutrients.
